Crochet: Hanging Ornament
About this pattern I am not so sure: It feels a bit boring compared to the other ones. However, I am adding it here anyway - just because a series of African animals without an ape feels somehow lacking. There might be an update in the works - if I have a better idea.
Crochet: Hanging Ornament
Probably the one of my African patterns I am most satisfied with: the ostrich (a male one, as the colouring shows).

The cockerel: this might also be adapted for female chickens by reducing the tail plumes (I’d suggest just one short one). You could produce a whole farmyard of chickens that way!
Crochet: Hanging Ornament
A new one for my Europe series: usable for all kinds of small birds, obviously. I think, with a brown-grey variegated yarn it might make a nice sparrow. Or a canary, if you use bright yellow or green.

I am feeling a bit bad about offering this as an individual pattern - since the only part crocheted is the egg shape of the body, and that can be found in other patterns of the same series.
Crochet: Animal Toy
This was originally inspired by a friend of mine (well, for her!) who loves hippos - so I made one for her as a birthday gift. But it turned out well enough for me to decide to turn it into a pattern. This is the result.
